WHY I LOVE MY JOB

Architecture and construction is really based in anthropology; it’s a study of how people spend their free time, live their lives, and how an environment can impact one’s possibilities. Through being curious about people and building places where people can have better lives, be more productive, and be fulfilled, I find great pleasure in what we do.

PROUD MOMENT

Cutting the ribbon on the National Hospital back in my home country of the Bahamas. The healthcare system there was riddled with challenges. Beck was brought in to help find a better way to drive performance in healthcare while upgrading the overall hospital, and to help them rethink the way they approach and practice medicine. Knowing that I had so many family members and friends relying on that facility, the ribbon-cutting was a pretty powerful moment for me.

BEST ADVICE

To be strong tomorrow, you have to be strong today. Many folks get caught up thinking about their next job and those future dividends without focusing on high performance in their current position. There is nothing that will propel you to future success like being really good at your current job.

LOOKING AHEAD

I’m excited about the potential for transformation that we see in our overall business environment, and specifically, in the Dallas community. We are at a time where there are three different generations fully engaged professionally, and, being a Gen-Xer, we are the bridging generation, harnessing and tapping into a richness of diverse ideas and innovative solutions from the millennials, while being able to embrace the experiences and perspectives of the boomers.

BEVERAGE OF CHOICE

I will never say no to a tasty glass of Napa Cab.

FAVORITE DESTINATION
