Joe Harberg is a true chocoholic. His obsession started years ago when, as a kid, he’d ride his bike to the neighborhood convenience store to buy candy.

Now he’s expanded his sweet-seeking horizons past the corner store to all corners of the globe. In addition to his day job as principal partner and CEO of Current Energy, a  commercial and residential energy-efficiency company, Harberg maintains an all-things-chocolate Web site called EatMoreChocolate.com. As the self-proclaimed “Chief Chocolatier” of the site (he even has business cards with that title), Harberg travels the world in search of great desserts and writes about his favorite finds. The site has elevated him to pseudo-celebrity status among his chocolate-loving readers.

When it comes to brands, flavors, or form, Harberg doesn’t discriminate. Candy bars, cakes, or his wife’s “killer” brownies—anything chocolate will do. And from the chocolate-themed surprise 40th birthday party his wife threw for him, right down to the collection of more than 50 M&M dispensers lining the walls of his office, it seems every detail of Harberg’s life revolves around his sweet tooth.

“I don’t know if it’s a healthy habit,”  he admits. “But it has its advantages.”
