Inside the Virtual Redesign of a University Park Living Room

These days, we can buy every fall wardrobe essential and go grocery shopping without leaving the house or a single web page, so it should come as no surprise that virtual interior designers are now a thing. Last year, we talked Homepolish, an affordable site that connects clients with local designers who can visit their space IRL or with a web cam. Havenly.com takes that virtual component one step further by taking the process entirely online, allowing Dallas clients to work with talented designers across the nation.

The pricing also has its appeal. After taking a fun, easy quiz to help identify your style (I got “Contemporary with a Touch of Glam,” which added up) you’re matched with three potential designers. From there, you decide whether you want the Mini Package (for a room’s few finishing touches) for $79 or the Full Design Package ($199), which includes two professional design concepts, a 2-D room layout, and $50 to spend at Havenly’s online marketplace.

After taking the style quiz, we reached out to Havenly to see a real life example of a Dallas redesign, and received this stunning University Park living room. Click our slideshow for more details on the finishing touches, as well as the client’s thoughts on working with a virtual designer.
