As summer winds down, make the most of your remaining free time by snagging a slot in one of these creative workshops.

 

1. Oil and Cotton—Marbling

The Date: July 16, 4-6 pm

The Price: $75/person

The Details: The two-hour class teaches how to manipulate colors and paint on an aqueous surface, and then transfer them to paper for a look similar to marble. 2. Paper Source—Mod Card Crafting

The Date: July 28, 6-8 pm

The Price: $32/person

3. Savor Patisserie—Macaron Workshop

The Date: July 15, 7-9 pm (and other dates/times this summer)

The Details: Savor’s pop-up shop location in The Shops at Park Lane is offering BYOB pastry courses this summer. You’ll learn a new trick and leave with a whole box of homemade macarons. 4. Pirch—Sourcing Saturday Cooking Class

5. Megan Weaver—Online Photography Course for Bloggers

The Date: Available anytime

The Price: $67/person

The Details: Dallas photographer Megan Weaver created this course to educate bloggers with little to no experience with DSLR cameras. You’ll learn how to frame images and how to operate your camera, and  can even join a Facebook community with other students in her course.

 

6. Dallas Arboretum—Watercolor and Botanical Study

The Date: July 16, 9 am-1 pm

The Price: $110/person (members receive a discount)

7. Creative Arts Center—Mixed Media Painting

The Date: July 31, 11 am-4 pm
