When we heard Jordan Spieth snatched up a new Preston Hollow mansion in December, we weren’t surprised when we saw which luxurious listing he settled on.
In 2014, we stepped inside the impressive Preston Hollow home PGA golfer Hunter Mahan built with his wife and former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Kandi. Built by their pal Mark Molthan, the home exuded West Coast cool with its sunken courtyard area, breezeway, and semi-private guest casita.

The couple was involved with the design from day one, but Hunter paid particular attention to the basement, resulting in what we’d dare to guess was a solid selling point for Spieth. The lowest level boasts a basketball half-court, a gym, and a golf-simulator room. While Hunter picked out the very specific shade of green—the color of the Masters Tournament jacket—for the cabinets in the simulator room, both he and Kandi take credit for the wall-sized rendering of the Augusta National Clubhouse in the 12-car garage.
