If you enjoy a good home ogling as much we do, then grab your new fall planner and listen up, dear reader. On Saturday, October 3, a pretty spectacular-looking home tour is going down in the Walnut Hill neighborhood. To be fair, all home tours in Dallas look spectacular, but the inaugural Modern Mile Home Tour has all the makings for a particularly lovely Saturday afternoon.

Keep an eye out for this 1955 home on Somerton Dr., gorgeously renovated by architect Max Levy.

From 11am to 5pm, take a tour of six stunning homes all located within one walkable mile. From authentic 1950s-built mid-century modern dwellings to newly constructed contemporary homes, each architecturally significant abode would be enough to lure anyone away from a Saturday Netflix binge session, but there’s plenty more to enjoy while strolling the neighborhood’s tree-lined streets. Grab a grilled cheese from Ruthie’s Rolling Café, and snag a complimentary mimosa or Paciugo gelato courtesy of sponsor Green Bank while you make your way from one tour home to another. Leave happy knowing that all proceeds from the day will go towards beautifying Walnut Hill Elementary’s landscaping and interior courtyard, which will be planned as a sensory butterfly garden and outdoor learning space for the school’s Autism program.
