Pencil This In: Antiques at the Alexander

Two days of education and antique appraisals.
|

The bad news: Antiques Roadshow won’t return your emails. The good news: There’s another option for appraising your antique finds and hand-me-downs. This weekend, the Dallas Woman’s Forum will host their third-annual Antiques at the Alexander event at the Alexander Mansion on Ross Avenue. The two-part event begins on Saturday, with lectures on French jewelry, art, furniture, and porcelain taking place from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. On Sunday, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, appraisers and conservators will be on hand to give consultations on antiques and collectibles. Each consultation costs $25 (or three for $60). Tickets for the Saturday lecture series, including lunch, are $85, or attendees can also purchase a two-day ticket (which includes three consultations) for $125. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by visiting www.alexandermansiondallas.com.
