That glittery, elegant room to the right is the brainchild of local design darling (and D Home “Tastemaker”) Janet Rice, created for the 2012 Holiday House in New York City.

Janet joined such interiors luminaries as Charlotte Moss, Eric Cohler, and Vicente Wolf in selecting a room in the prestigious showhouse to design in her personal style.

In addition to several pieces from her eponymous furniture collection, Janet’s room, dubbed “An Elegant Affair,” features hand-painted Gracie wallpaper, Stark Carpet floor covering, , a Murano glass chandelier from Lorin Marsh, and a custom painting by artist Delah Brucelli.

If you happen to be headed to New York this week, be sure to pop by, as the Holiday House is open for viewing through November 18th, and all profits are donated to the Evelyn Lauder Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
