With fall in full swing, many local juice vendors are rolling out blends comprised of this season’s best produce. When at its peak, produce is in its most nutrient-dense and flavorful form—all the more reason to kick off fall with these five local seasonal blends.

Boom Juice’s Pumpkin Latte

Nestled inside Highland Park’s Body Bar Studios, Boom Juice owners Jessica and Davio Ventouras make their juices daily in small batches. Outside of the storefront you can find Boom Juice at the Dallas Farmers Market.

What’s In It: Fresh pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, house-made almond milk, and fair-trade cold-brew coffee

Benefits: Pumpkin contains beta-carotene, which is essential for eye health and boosts the immune system. Cinnamon helps regulate blood sugar levels and fights inflammation in the body. This juice is loaded with vitamins A and K, which keep your skin soft and hair healthy.

Cost: $8 per bottle

Green Grocer’s Sweet Fire Juice

This juice is a product of the non-GMO, 100 percent organic grocer on Greenville Avenue. Co-owner Cassie Green has established close relationships with many local farmers and producers to provide the freshest, locally sourced products alongside many hard-to-find specialty items. Visit the store from 5-7 p.m. Monday through Friday for “happy hour” and get $2.50 off all juices and smoothies.

What’s In It: Celery, carrot, beet, orange, and mint

Benefits: Beets are great for the digestive system and helping detoxify the blood. Carrots keep skin healthy and glowing. Oranges provide fiber and a huge dose of vitamin C to aid the immune system during the next couple of months. Mint is great for relieving indigestion and inflammation.

Cost: 16 ounces $7.99; 24 ounces $10.99

The Gem’s Dancing Green Juice

Juices are cold-pressed, 100 percent organic, non-HPP and made fresh every day by owners Leslie Needleman and Mary Kathryn Bass in their Preston Center and Forest Lane locations.

What’s In It: Celery, orange, broccoli, fennel, lime, and parsley

The Benefits: Fennel is an detoxifying and de-bloating agent that helps with digestion and anti-anemic. Celery contains a naturally occurring sodium that helps combat high blood pressure. Broccoli is loaded with fiber, aiding the body’s detoxification system, and is also a great source of vitamins K and C. Parsley is a powerful herb full of antioxidants, vitamin A, and vitamin C as well. Add in immune-boosting orange, and this juice is overdosed with vitamin C.

Cost: $9 per bottle

Roots Pressed Juices’ Raspberry Lemonade

Roots Juices offers a selection of kits and cleanses. Pop into their Oaklawn store front, or take advantage of their free local delivery. You can also text in your juice or smoothie order while you’re on your way—they will even bring it to your car.

Ingredients: Raspberry, apple, lemon, and ginger

Benefits: Red raspberries contain strong antioxidants like Vitamin C and help neutralize free radicals and inflammation within the body. Ginger is an ultimate healer, aiding in digestion, circulation, and reducing inflammation. Both raspberries and ginger have cancer-preventing properties. Lemons have an alkalizing effect on the body, helping stimulate the digestive system and clear bad bacteria and toxins.

Cost: $8 per bottle

Vim + Vigor’s Fall Seasonal Juice (Coming in October.)

Following the mantra “farm-to-bottle,” Vim + Vigor offers consultations, custom kits, and cleanses. Find Vim + Vigor at Central Market or online via Artizone Grocery Delivery. Co-owner Annie Portman recommends having this as a breakfast or snack since this juice is more satiating and higher in calories than a green juice.

Ingredients: Sweet potato, apple, orange, and nutmeg

Benefits: Drink up and knock out more than 100 percent of the recommended daily intake of Vitamin A, which is beneficial for the vitality of the skin, eyes, heart, and immune system. The sweet potato has a large dose of beta-carotene and B6, which supports healthy vision and heart function. Apples are full of fiber, and nutmeg is helpful for vision and heart health. The orange provides a Vitamin C boost, which is much needed around this time of year.

Cost: $7.49-$7.99 per bottle
