Eating healthy can get boring – salad, grilled chicken, repeat. Dallasite Kevin Curry, from Fit Men Cook, disagrees (and so do his more than 950K Instagram followers). The social media guru shares 15-second videos showing, step-by-step, how easy (and exciting) eating healthy can be. Check out his website to see for yourself. You’ll be whipping up mushroom sliders or chili-stuffed sweet potatoes in no time. Not only does each recipe include a video tutorial, but calorie, protein, and carb contents are also outlined. Move aside, boring salad.

If you’ve got only 20 minutes to work out, what’s your routine?

I usually do some type of high-interval intensity training. So it would be a combination of weights with zero rest. I’m jumping around, lots of body weights, non-stop. I’m soaking wet, but afterwards, I feel really good.

What’s your typical daily workout routine?

I like to focus on body-part training. On Mondays, I’ll do chest and a little bit of arms and triceps. Next day, something else, like back, legs, and shoulders. Then, have a rest day in between, and finish it up with some arms.

What is your go-to cheat meal?

Well, I call them “treat meals.” If you plan for it, it’s a part of your diet, and it’s not cheating. The first one is Whataburger and their Texas toast burger – gotta have it. And Mooyah burgers. I love their sweet potato fries.

What’s your usual breakfast?

The easiest thing for me is to make an oven frittata in the skillet, because I like to walk my dog in the morning and do other stuff. Throw in roasted veggies, a leftover chicken breast from the week, put some cheese on top, and toss it in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes.

Name a song from your workout playlist.

My favorite one I listen to nonstop is “Flex” by Rich Homie Quan. I like a lot of house music. It keeps me going during cardio.

How do you define being healthy and fit?

I define being healthy and fit by achieving your own personal fitness goals and being healthy with a balanced, practical lifestyle. Find out what healthy is for you. For me, it’s being able to live my life and feel good about myself.
