Vrikshasana, or tree pose, teaches balance and stability that will help you grow more confident and improve self-esteem. Start by standing in samasthitih, or mountain pose, with your big toes and ankles touching. Once you find your center and begin to feel grounded, bend one knee and place your foot against your inner thigh with your toes pointing down before bringing your hands to your chest in prayer.
Benefits:
–Strengthens legs
–Improves pelvic stability
–Stretches and strengthens the tendons and ligaments in the feet
The Joule’s VITAL Fitness Studio provided their space and instructors to help us demonstrate a series of yoga poses that will leave you feeling strong and centered.
