Sirsasana is an intense pose that takes time and confidence to master, but once you have it down the benefits can be life-changing. Begin by kneeling with your fingers laced and elbows on the floor at shoulder distance apart. Gently set the top of your head to the ground and straighten your legs as you lift your hips into the air. Slowly walk your feet as close to your head as possible then bring one knee in to your chest at a time before you unfold your legs at the hips, then the knees to form a straight line.

Benefits:

  • Strengthens arms, legs, and core
  • Brings blood to the brain to relieve pressure, stress, and depression
  • Stimulates digestion
  • Relieves asthma, insomnia, and sinusitis
