Work, errands, social life: trying to maintain a life balance can feel all but impossible. Add squeezing in a yoga class or a gym session into the mix, and it becomes as daunting as braving early morning traffic to catch that 8 a.m. class. From personal training and yoga to massage and nutrition, Dallas has several concierge services that will bring fitness and wellness to your living room. Sayonara, Northwest Highway standstills!

ElectWellness

Thomas and Jamie Jensen, co-owners and founders of ElectWellness, saw a need to provide more than just personal training to Dallas. The duo offers a comprehensive solution to overall health and wellness through in-home nutrition and fitness sessions. “We noticed that the clients who really saw lifestyle changes and who maintained them long term, were the clients who were following the nutrition advice,” Jamie says.

Each program starts with a minimum of a six-month commitment and includes weekly training sessions, a monthly nutritionist visit, and daily check-ins for accountability. ElectWellness also services Allen, Southlake, and Grapevine.

Shannon Thornton, Private Yoga

Thornton’s individually catered private yoga instruction—available in the home or office—focuses on each student’s unique abilities and limitations. Thornton offers a stripped-down instruction, eliminating the distractions sometimes found in fast-paced classes where students can miss details or get left behind.

Body’s By Dubs

Warren Wilkins, the trainer behind Body’s By Dubs, has been in the personal training industry for nearly a decade. He offers in-home training under the mantra that fitness is a three-part equation: desire, nutrition, and workouts. Wilkins offers customizable packages for individuals or pairs, in addition to meal plans and online personal training.

Veronica Grant, Private Yoga

Grant is a firm believer that one-on-one yoga instruction is key to correctly learning the practice. “A lot of times, especially if you are brand new to the movements, a yoga studio can be intimidating,” Grant says. “The nature of the classes, with one teacher to sometimes 30 students, doesn’t allow you to get the attention you may need.”

Grant meets clients once or twice a week, where she provides customizable instruction in a setting that allows the client to feel safe and secure. “Yoga can be very vulnerable for people,” she says. “Private yoga classes help provide a safe place.”

After a session, she leaves her students with homework—a pose to practice, breathing exercises, or meditation studies.

Massage Integration

Relax in the comfort of your home and choose a variety of mobile massages geared toward target areas such as deep tissue, therapeutic, sports, prenatal, and more by on-call licensed professional therapists. Find respite after a long workweek, relax with your significant other during a couple’s massage, or have a spa night with your friends during a massage party.

Concierge Fitness TX

Patrick Pinkard, owner and trainer at Concierge Fitness TX, takes away the stress of getting to the gym and brings the workout to your doorstep. With a motto of “training whenever, wherever you have time,” Pinkard has more than 20 years in the fitness and health industry, including a certification from the National Personal Training Institute. From sessions geared toward building muscle tone and core strength to posture correction and cardio fitness, Pinkard offers the full-gamut of personal training. He also provides nutritional tips to help jumpstart your fitness regime. Sessions are available for individuals and groups.
