Former Cowboy Joseph Randle Charged With Assaulting Fellow Inmate

It continues to get worse for the erstwhile running back.
|

Joseph Randle’s downward spiral began fairly innocuously, busted for stealing underwear and a bottle of Gucci Guilty cologne from a Dillard’s in Frisco in October 2014. He was still on the Cowboys then, starting at running back. Now he’s out of football entirely, and this latest charge — assaulting another inmate at the Kansas jail where he’s been incarcerated since June — brings the total to five pending criminal cases. The other allegations: purposely hitting three people with a car, evading attempts to serve him with a warrant, threatening to kill a deputy, and property damage. And those are just the current cases; there have been plenty of others.

For more on Randle’s sudden descent, brought on, perhaps, by mental illness and head trauma, read this Dan Greene piece in Sports Illustrated from a few weeks back.
