Dallas-to-Houston Bullet Train and Cotton Belt Line on Possibly Fake Trump List. If the documents the Kansas City Star obtained are legit, then the high-speed rail and DART line are among 50 projects on President Trump’s infrastructure priority list. The chairman of the Alliance for Innovation and Infrastructure, however, claims the list is a fake, making this whole thing slightly more mysterious than that Lindsay Lohan hookup list that came out a few years back (seriously, Benicio del Toro?).

DISD Teacher Pays Middle Schooler $28K in Hush Money. A 27-year-old teacher was arrested last week for having a sexual relationship with her former middle school student. The teacher told police she had sex with the student in 2015 and began getting calls demanding hush money in January 2016. Among the many strange details: The teacher had sex with the student just last month, after nearly a year of blackmail payments totaling close to $28,000.

Luke’s Locker Files for Bankruptcy. The Dallas-based retailer is keeping stores in Fort Worth, East Dallas, and near SMU open, but five stores, including those in Plano and Southlake, will be shuttered. Online competition is said to be a factor, but it still surprises me.
