Plano Gas Leak Prompts Street Closure and Brief Evacuation. About 80 homes were evacuated Thanksgiving morning after a resident reported a strong odor around 7 a.m. near Spring Creek Parkway and Alma Drive. The Plano Police Department closed Spring Creek Parkway from Rainier Road to Chase Oaks Boulevard, and temporary shelter was set up for the evacuated residents. The leak was capped around 2 p.m., and people were allowed back into their homes.

Black Friday Shoppers Get an Early Start. Not everyone was watching the Cowboys’ victory. Shoppers started lining up outside of Cityplace Target around 11 a.m. yesterday, with Best Buy and Toys ‘R Us seeing similar lines. I’ll wait for Cyber Monday.
