I’m a few days late on this Washington Post story. But it has gotten surprisingly little play in Dallas. So I’m just going to give you four quotes from it, and you can decided whether you want to read it. The story is about a guy named David Wells, whom the Post says is “like the Pulp Fiction character Winston Wolf, a fixer who exists on the margins and functions without ceremony.” He works for the Cowboys. Okay, the quotes.
From Adam “Pacman” Jones: “I haven’t had a question that Dave couldn’t answer, I can tell you that.”
From former Kaufman County district attorney Rick Harrison: “Whenever something is messed up and you need to go outside the lines a little bit, he’s your guy.”
From Jerry Jones: “A tremendous asset to the franchise. I won’t get into detail of the kinds of things [Wells does], because he does everything.”
From Wells himself: “I deal with the real-ass world, man.”
