Baylor Scott & White Health, the largest nonprofit health system in the state, will need a new CEO next year. Joel Allison, who led the system through a huge merger with Temple’s Scott & White, announced Tuesday afternoon that he’ll be stepping down on Feb. 1, 2017 and shifting into an advisory role, senior advisor to the chairman of the board.
Allison, 68, is the only CEO Baylor Scott & White has ever known. He led the Baylor Health Care System from 2000 until the merger, and has been one of Dallas-Fort Worth’s most nationally recognizable players in healthcare for years. Head to D Healthcare Daily for more details.
