So far, you’ve met 10 semifinalists for Dallas’ 10 Most Beautiful. This week, we enter the third week of voting, where we will introduce you to five more captivating and talented women.
These women were selected as semifinalists after more than 400 nominations for this year’s contest. Now, we need you to choose Dallas’ 10 Most Beautiful!
Here’s how it works: You can vote once a day, every day, throughout the voting period. We’ll introduce you to the final five ladies next week. The 12 top vote-getters from the voting process will advance to finals week, which will determine who will appear in the December 2015 issue of D Magazine.
This week’s accomplished and charming candidates each have impressive and compelling backgrounds, from an actress and model who has found her home in Dallas’ solidarity to an entrepreneurial hairstylist who thrives off giving back to her beloved city.
Alika Ray may be recognizable from music videos and TV commercials she’s appeared in, but the actress and model is locally known as the face of Henderson Avenue haven The Gypsy Wagon. The Cedars resident spent seven successful years in Loa Angeles before making her way back to Dallas.
As a volunteer with Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, Billie Jo Davis draws from her own childhood experiences in her work as an advocated for neglected and abused children. Davis takes her role seriously, often checking on them in their foster homes.
Harvard alum Brooke Chavez Taylor has achieved much in her expansive and varied media career, from working as a general assignment reporter in Lubbock to hosting after-shows for The Real Housewives franchises. But Chavez Taylor finds joy in her 4-year-old daughter Isabella.
When experienced hairstylist Hallie Alford isn’t expanding her brand, she’s helping young stylists build their businesses. Alford uses her talent to give back, volunteering with Human Impact to provide haircuts for the homeless.
Outside her job as a senior account executive at ISN, Amanda Machado enjoys all that Dallas has to offer, exploring the Design District’s notable shops and downtown’s varied museums. Machado also hopes to start a cause against online bullying, of which she was a victim.
