Taking a child through a modern art museum can be daunting, especially if mommy or daddy is not an expert on such matters. In other words, you can expect plenty of questions, and even the most savvy among us might not have all the answers. Luckily, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth has a mobile lecture that will specifically address this delightfully troubling issue. A guided tour will bounce between works by Donald Judd and Jackie Winsor—two giants of 20th minimalism and post-minimalism respectively—whose collective legacy is still cause for debate. A group of up to 40 is welcome to meet at the front desk for the tour literature and orientation, and the walkthrough begins at 4 pm. Whatever you do, just don’t repeat the mistakes of a rather different tour of Donald Judd’s work that infamously took place overseas earlier in the year.
We have plenty of other scheduled art events over on FrontRow, enough to keep you occupied through the weekend.
