The Asian Film Festival of Dallas begins at 1:45 pm today at the Angelika Film Center, with a movie possessing a rather creepy premise  Go, Stop, Murder. That’s followed by a series of experimental shorts that range anywhere from one to 16 minutes.

Texas Barbecue Week has a few more days before it wraps up, and while the statewide event may have few Dallas establishments representing our local take on the staple cuisine among the 54 participating restaurants, they are very much worth exploring. SideDish has all the details concerning the specials involved in the carnivorous occasion, including spots in McKinney and Fort Worth, as well as the expected showings from Pecan Lodge, Peggy Sue, and Smoke.
