Findings Released in Uber Investigation. If you didn’t see it yesterday, click here or scroll down the blog feed for, like, half a second. If you don’t have time, here is a short summary.

Dallas Police Officer Faces Disciplinary Hearing Today After Shooting. After officer Cardan Spencer shot Bobby Bennett in the stomach on October 14, an arrest warrant for Bennett, who has paranoid schizophrenia, claimed he approached Spencer and his partner with a “knife raised in an aggressive manner.” Surveillance video, though, showed that Bennett was just standing there, arms at his sides. Spencer will learn his future with the DPD this morning at a hearing. He should hope that the worst thing that happens to him is losing his job, because he’s probably looking at some jail time.

No More Participation Trophies For Keller Youth Football League. “Trophies are something you should strive for and earn,” Keller Youth Association said on its Facebook page. “Life does not give you a participation job or medal, life makes you earn everything you get.” I 100-percent support this policy. Our team finished dead last in Little League when I was a kid and got “sportsmanship” trophies for our efforts. It was embarrassing. I also think parents take youth sports too seriously, but that is for another time, when I can spend all day responding to self-righteous people in the comments.

And, Finally: CAMEL FARM. If you have a sec, watch the video, which features an intro by the local news team I recently successfully christened “BAM” and at least a couple of gestures by Meredith Land that make me believe she is actively trying to get me to do another photo play starring her. I see you, Meredith. Also, that video features camels.
