The National Concussion League season kicked off last night with a game between the Denver Broncos and the Baltimore Ravens, but it won’t really get rolling until this weekend. The Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants will face off in Arlington on Sunday night. So what are the preseason expectations for the Boys?

Four of SI.com’s seven experts have the team making the playoffs, a couple of them as high as the third seed in the NFC. Likewise, half of USA Today‘s six predictors have the Cowboys winning the NFC East division. But none of them expect to see the team advance as far as the NFC Championship game. Neither does anybody at Yahoo! Sports.

ESPN’s NFL Nation blog figures they’ll make the playoffs with a 10-6 record, while Rainer Sabin of the Morning News says it’ll be more like 7-9.

Fox Sports likes Jerry’s team better than do the other outlets, with five of its seven experts giving them the NFC East title. Plus, one courageous writer, Ross Jones, dares to raise the hopes of North Texas: the Cowboys will win the Super Bowl, over the Texans.

But there’s so much parity in the NFL these days, who knows? Should we put stock in any of these “expert” opinions?
