If you have yet to do so, check out Peter Simek’s FrontRow interview with German artist Katherine Grosse, whose work is currently on view at the Nasher. It’s good stuff.

Tonight, D: The Broadcast host Courtney Kerr keeps her hostess hat on for a summer shopping party at adorable boutique Milk + Honey. There will be a sangria bar, snacks, and a DJ to help you with your selections. Raya has details on ShopTalk, as well.

Also this evening, the Texas Theatre screens the documentary Plimpton!, which follows and stars, of course, the excellent American journalist who preferred not to simply observe but to participate. If you have a minute, check out the website Plimpton Project, an ongoing celebration of his life and work. Make like Jay Z and Beyonce and drop by Mesa for dinner. I also recommend sticking around the theater bar for a drink or two.

For more to do tonight, including the ongoing Asian Film Festival, go here.
