There’s not always enough time in the day to skim a lengthy, re-worded press release that’s been stamped with “breaking” or “exclusive.” And some stories don’t warrant an entire page of prose. Each week we’ll gather the most important tidbits of Dallas food news and post them here, on SideDish. Because sometimes all you need is the scoop.

Houndstooth at The Hill Shopping Center in North Dallas is now open: The third Dallas location of the Austin-based coffee shop is now open at 9730 N. Central Expressway. According to the release:

“Situated in two Lake Flato-designed tiny porch houses, the new cafe offers plenty of seating and a large parking area right on the TreeHouse lot that is outfitted with eight Tesla supercharging stations. With a prime location right on the northeast corner of Walnut Hill Lane and US-75, the new cafe offers an ideal, easily accessible spot for people in the North Dallas and neighboring Plano and Richardson communities to come together. The cafe also offers a meetings package, allowing the smaller north porch house, dubbed the ‘Schoolhouse,’ to be reserved for private group gatherings, including coffee and tea service for up to 20 people.

The new Walnut Hill location offers Houndstooth Coffee’s signature menu of handcrafted coffee, espresso, and tea drinks, along with pastries, donuts, and breakfast tacos from Tacodeli.”

Royal Blue Grocery to open at Trammell Crow Center: The Austin-based specialty grocery store will open on the ground floor of the Trammell Crow Center in fall 2018, reports the Dallas Business Journal. Hurray for more downtown grab-and-go options.

Haywire opens on November 29 in Plano: The latest concept from Front Burner Restaurants is now open. According to the release:

Haywire offers the true Texas experience with an urban refresh. Similar to its sister restaurant, The Ranch at Las Colinas, Haywire features heritage recipes made modern with Texas-sourced ingredients for tastes both unexpected and comforting. It’s cuisine that’s hearty enough for the ranch hand yet perfectly refined for the businessman or woman.

Haywire’s atmosphere is inspired by the unique style of Marfa, Texas, and is spread out over three floors, each offering a distinct experience. Kick back by the fireplace with a handcrafted cocktail in the first-floor whiskey lounge, enjoy a Wagyu Tomahawk ribeye with a bold red in the inviting second-floor dining room or unwind with friends and a cold local beer or Cadillac margarita under the big Texas sky on the rooftop patio.

Haywire is located at 5901 Winthrop Street in Plano.
