Henry’s Majestic Turns Two
This Thursday, celebrate Henry’s Majestic’s second year of serving delicious eats and killer cocktails. The public is invited to party with the Henry’s Majestic family, devour a pig roast feast at 5 p.m., and enjoy musical guest, Armstead. To make the birthday even more complete, there will be a signature birthday shot and scrumptious cake at 8 p.m. (This will be one of the few two-year-old parties that involves drinking. Grab your chef hats, because Empire Baking Company in North Dallas is partnering with Stonewall Kitchen and teaching all kinds of appetizer secrets. The menu includes small plates such as cranberry-horseradish and turkey mini-paninis; maple pumpkin butter whipped cream in phyllo cups with slivered almonds; roasted garlic onion jam with goat cheese and chives; and corn salsa with tortilla chips. Operation Kindness’ Dog Day Afternoon
We all love our dogs—some of us even call it an obsession. We each claim to have the cutest, fluffiest, smartest, four-legged vacuum cleaner of them all. #PuppyPride. Celebrate your love for your pup this weekend at Operation Kindness’ Dog Day Afternoon. At this free event, the goal will be to set a new world record for the largest dog cake (delicious and adorable). All canine attendees can be entered in a contest, enjoy doggy pools, and dig into a slice of the dog-friendly cake. Meanwhile, we humans can enjoy food trucks, goodie bags, vet advice, and more.
