Thursday, September 22

Downtown Denton Food Truck Fest
Take advantage of the 25 food trucks that will be in downtown Denton this Thursday from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. Enjoy cuisines from a variety of trucks such as Fatlanders Taco Company, Easy Slider Truck, The Waffle Wagon, Kona Ice, The Smokin Chef, and much more.

Birds and Brew Special
This Thursday is North Texas Giving Day, so head to the Trinity River Audubon Center to help donate to the cause. This event has a little bit of everything: you can enjoy artwork, birds, brews from local breweries, and food from Cousins Maine Lobster.

Saturday, September 24

Smoked Dallas

Come hungry on Saturday to the Smoked Dallas festival and indulge in sauce-y, smoked, curated barbecue. If you like the smell of charcoal and barbecue sauce hitting the grill, you will thrive at this event. Try meats from different pitmasters and chefs while enjoying the rest of the festival, which includes live music, mechanical bull rides, and more. General admission tickets are $48, VIP tickets are $90, concert-only entries are $28, kids are $10 but free under the age of 5.

Taste of Firewheel
You can never go wrong spending your Saturday at a food festival, and Garland, Texas is hosting a good one. The Taste of Firewheel will have a variety of dishes from the area, live music, and entertainment for families and children. Wristbands are $20 for ten tastes or $35 for 20 tastes. Don’t miss out on trying places like El Pollo Regio, Fish City Grill, Steel City Pops, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and many more Garland favorites.

Sunday, September 25

Drag Brunch at Cedar Grove
Spice up your brunch experience this Sunday by heading to Cedar Grove’s Drag Brunch. The menu includes smoked sausage scramble, Fruity Pebbles French toast, and chilaquiles. Sip fruit-infused mimosas. Brunch and show are $35. Call 214-522-3474 to make your reservation.

Chefs for Farmers
The fifth annual Chefs for Farmers event runs from Friday, September 23 through Sunday, September 25. The schedule includes a street food night market, six-course dinner, and the main event featuring more than 40 chefs, 35 farmers and artisans, 50 wineries, breweries and distilleries.

Greek Food Festival of Dallas
Close your eyes and try to picture yourself on a beach in Mykonos, Greece when you walk outside into the Dallas heat. The Greek Food Festival of Dallas is here to help boost this daydream. This weekend, join the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in consuming large amounts of gyros, lamb sliders, Greek fries, feta bites, and Greek salad. Celebrate all things Greek with comedy, music, and dancing.

Plano Balloon Festival
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a – hot air balloon? This Sunday, head to Plano for the Balloon Festival. You can sign up to run a 5k, 1k, or marathon at the festival while hot air balloons will launch into the sky. Tickets are $5 for general admission and $1 for senior citizens. If you have never seen hot air balloons fill the sky, it’s a sight you won’t want to miss. And of course, there will be plenty to munch on.
