Beer and barbecue seems to be the theme for this weekend’s culinary events, but don’t worry there are still plenty of other options for you to choose from. Here is your weekend roundup of Dallas dining events.

Thursday, July 28

Popsicles on the Plaza
There are two things all Texans know to be true in the summer: it gets hot enough to fry eggs on the sidewalk, and tubing the Guadalupe is the best way to cool down. But for us Dallas folks who don’t have a river to turn to, we are forced to come up with other ways to beat the scorching Texas heat. Luckily for us, Downtown Dallas Inc. is treating Dallasites to Steel City Pops popsicles at Pegasus Plaza starting at 11a.m. Hurry, only the first 100 people will get to enjoy this refreshing treat.

Franconia Beer Tour
If you love beer and barbecue, you will definitely want to join Franconia Brewing Co. for their Franconia Beer Tour. The tour will consist of a four-course meal and a Franconia beer and Ten50 barbecue pairing. A night full of savory barbecue and refreshing beer sounds like something you do not want to miss.

Friday, July 29

Rosé All Day
Calling all wine lovers, Royal Blue Grocery in the Highland Park Village will be hosting a wine tasting this weekend. For $25 you can enjoy five rosé wines from around the world. All wines will be available for for purchase at a discounted price. And as if the wine wasn’t reason enough to attend, Dior will be at the tasting from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday giving complimentary 15 minute mini facials. The event kicks off Friday at 1 p.m. and continues through Sunday at 4 p.m.

Bad Moms Happy Hour
Motherhood is exhausting (or so I hear). It’s a balancing act of running around carpooling kids, making sure everyone’s football or cheerleading uniforms are clean, PTA meetings, reminding dad to pick up Susie from school, and going to work every day. Honestly, I don’t know how moms do it, I’m tired just thinking about everything they do. It’s no wonder sometimes all a mom desperately wants is a night off. Well The Theodore is giving all moms the chance to let loose and be a “bad mom” for a bit. They will be hosting a special happy hour for moms from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in honor of the release of the new comedy Bad Moms. Get your drink on and then head over Northpark AMC 15 to see the movie.

Saturday, July 30

Loco for Coconuts
Truck Yard will be bringing a tropical paradise, or at least the tropical cocktails found at said paradise, to Dallas. Head to this popular spot for a boozy day full of coconut bikinis, Hawaiian shirts, and $10 Lotta Coladas.

Annual Beer-BQ
The Flying Saucer in Addison will be hosting their annual Beer-BBQ this weekend. The event will feature live music, delicious barbecue food specials provided by Bite Club BBQ, and fifteen rare Texas beer releases. This is an event every beer lover will want to make sure to attend.

Sunday, July 31

Beervention
After years of hoarding craft beers, Matt Ragan is finally ready to share his prized collection with the public. Corey of Dead Flowers Band will be providing to live music for guest to enjoy as they munch on executive chef, Kristyn Brewer’s homemade sausages, tromp tacos, and pastrami at this momentous occasion. Best part of it all (besides getting to try rare craft beers of course) is that this is an all-you-can-eat-and-drink event. Party takes place at Victor Tangos.
