Austin-based coffee shop, Houndstooth Coffee, opens a second Dallas location. According to the release:

“Houndstooth Coffee debuts their newest location at the Sylvan | Thirty development in West Dallas, marking Houndstooth’s second Dallas cafe and fourth overall, with two locations in Austin. The location is the largest to date, featuring three distinct elements, with the coffee bar now open, a kitchen component, offering food items and special ticketed events, slated for late summer and a cocktail bar to launch late fall/early winter…Encompassing 2,100 square feet, the flexible, multi-use space is driven by a day-to-night concept, with the coffee bar occupying a larger airy, sunlit space while Jettison, the bar component, offers a darker, more intimate retreat for cocktails and conversation. Focusing on clean lines and simplicity, guests are welcomed to an inviting environment featuring natural lighting, an island coffee bar with both bar seating and standing room that allows for 360 degree engagement with guests, covered patios and flexible seating options, including common tables that allow groups to enjoy the space together and individual spots that offer guests more personal space to work. While offering new and unique aspects, the Sylvan | Thirty location also follows many design elements of the other locations, staying true to the Houndstooth brand.”

The new store is located at 1878 Sylvan Avenue, Suite 150E and is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

“With this new location, we really wanted to challenge ourselves and keep pushing the coffee conversation forward,” says Sean Henry, owner of Houndstooth Coffee, in an email. “This new space lends itself to introducing all-new elements, and we’re excited to not just replicate the successes of our other locations but to continue to evolve as our brand grows.”
