American Craft Beer Week at Whiskey Cake
Local craft beers will be available during happy hour at the popular Plano restaurant. The limited-time menu ranges in price based on how close the brewer is located to the restaurant. The closer the brewer, the lower the cost. Whiskey Cake is also tapping a different specialty beer at 3 p.m. every day throughout the week. Monday’s Tapping is Founder’s Kentucky Breakfast Stout.

Pinstack celebrates American Craft Beer Week
Pinstack Plano is celebrating American Craft Beer Week with craft beer specials and beer-inspired dishes created by executive chef Dan Bevis. Featured menu items include a grilled caramelized sweet onion flatbread made with a Lakewood Lager cheese dipping sauce, and a braised beer short rib with goat cheese mashed potatoes and Revolver Blood & Honey barbecue sauce. The dishes are available though May 22.

Tequila Dinners at Cantina Laredo
Every Thursday through the summer, guests can enjoy an off-the-menu four-course meal paired with tequila cocktails.  The meal is sure to transport you to Mexico’s sandy beaches where work deadlines and credit card bills do not exist. The dinner series will kick off on May 19 at the Addison location and tickets cost $49.99 per person. Call (972) 458-0962 to make a reservation.

Chef’s Harvest Dinner at Asador
Chef Brad Phillips is celebrating the spring with a locally-inspired, three-course dinner at Asador. The menu includes braised oxtail, compressed watermelon salad, and chess pie. Tickets cost $90 per person and seating is limited. Call (214) 267-4815 to book a reservation.

Hutchins BBQ James Beard Dinner
If you have an appetite for barbeque in Dallas and boast Texas pride, then you will find your happy place at the Hutchins BBQ James Beard Dinner on Thursday night. Hutchins BBQ will be showcasing five courses of “Sizzling Texas ‘Cue” before heading off to New York to cook at the James Beard House. Make sure to save room for Texas Twinkies, brisket, and cream cheese-stuffed jalapeño poppers wrapped in glazed bacon. The dinner is at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $39 and can be purchased here.

Friday, May 20
Spring Farmers Market Dinner
Chefs Robert Lyford, Jeff Qualls, and Andrea Shackelford are hosting a dinner benefitting the Historic McKinney Farmers Market. The spring-inspired dinner will take place in the historic Chestnut Square from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.. Tickets cost $125 per person and can be purchased here.
