I scream. You scream.

This coming Sunday, August 2 is National Ice Cream Sandwich Day. As one of the hottest places to spend summer, we don’t really need an excuse to eat ice cream, but Dallas is home to several artisan ice cream sandwiches. So why not make an event out of the delicious food holiday.

Here’s a list of must-trys.

Joy Macarons

Following an increase in demand, Joy Macarons “Ice Cream Sammys” have been added to the menu for good. For $6 you can waltz out of the Oak Cliff location with one of six flavors of house-made ice cream sandwiched between two macaron shells. (Fun fact: macarons are gluten-free.) Ice cream flavors may vary depending on the day, but as of right now your choices are: strawberry basil, mocha, lemon blueberry, banana foster, vanilla bean, and cinnamon.

Cold Beer Company

Oatmeal Eskimos — yes plural — are the best way to end a meal at CBC. For $5 you get not one, but two “Eskimos” made with Henry’s vanilla bean ice cream sandwiched between two fresh oatmeal cookies.

Carnival Barkers

You’ll find Rice Krispies and Pop Tart ice cream sandwiches at both Carnival Barker Ice Cream locations. Both locations serve the sweet treats daily. For now, the inners of the sandwiches are loaded with CB regular old vanilla ice cream, but eventually that could change.

Glazed Donut Works

Glazed Donut Works is the place to be for late night ice cream sandwich cravings. The doughnut shop is located directly across from Trees on Elm Street and is open until 2 a.m. The menu changes but one of the most recent options is their Saigon Cinnamon Sugar Donut with Cold Brew Coffee Ice Cream.

Public School 214

Public School 214 offers one of the most decadent ice cream sandwiches in Dallas. Their Nutella Cookie Sandwich is made of two large chocolate chunk cookies both smeared with a heaping spoonful of Nutella and then topped with vanilla bean ice cream. They’re sandwiched together and coated with bacon brittle. Sharing an ice cream sandwich may sound absurd but you should consider asking a friend to help you out with this one.
