Pizza in the Park: Klyde Warren Park Finally Opens Up to New Food Trucks
For those of you who live and work near KWP, you can finally rejoice that a new option is available in the park. For the month of September, park management is scheduling Tutta’s Pizza, Bellatrino, and Yummy Pizza. None of the previous trucks are leaving, although you might need to look around to another part of the park to find it.
Comfort Food to the Max: Ruthie’s Grilled Cheese Expands their Menu
Ruthie’s was already one of the top “comfort food” trucks. They’ve now added new Mac’n’Cheese options. Using the same flavors from their grilled cheese sandwiches, they start with a bowl of mac’n’cheese, then optionally add bbq, chicken breast, or bacon. Add caramelized onions, jalapenos, or tomatos, followed by a sauce, such as pesto or their “slob sauce”. At a tasting late last week, I tried 2 variations: mac’n’cheese, with BBQ, added caramelized onions, and the slob sauce. I also hit a mac’n’cheese, added cubed chicken breast, topped with pesto sauce. Both were extremely satisfying and filling.
