5 Martini Recipes and a Contest from Library Bar

Ready for a martini marathon? Starting Wednesday August 20, the Library is hosting a month-long series with 20 new martinis that will compete for a more permanent spot on the menu. Guests will vote on their favorite cocktails and come up with their own creative names for them as well.

There will be 5 martinis per week, like the Watermelontini and the Blueberry Cheesecake Martini. Drinks are $15 each. The concoctions that receive the most votes get added to the menu with one of the proposed names. And really, after a couple of martinis, who wouldn’t come up with a great title for a cocktail? The lucky customer that picks the best name gets a free martini to celebrate his or her general awesomeness. Martinis from weeks past will also be available to try. As if martinis weren’t enough, the Warwick Melrose Hotel is offering a glass of sparkling wine for 90 cents with a meal at The Library or The Landmark Restaurant to celebrate its 90th anniversary.

Now for some recipes! Here are the Library’s Watermelontini, Yogurt Sour Martini, Albino Grasshopper Martini, Chocolate Raspberry Martini, and Blueberry Cheesecake Martini, which are week one’s lineup.
