New-ish Oak chef Richard Gras tendered his resignation on yesterday. Today, the Apheleia Restaurant Group named Brian Zenner as executive chef. Zenner was in the trenches at Oak with opening chef Jason Maddy. He got a break when Apheleia Restaurant Group opened Belly & Trumpet. Maddy moved on and Gras was hired last July. Apparently Zenner will still oversee Belly & Trumpet. I’ve reached out to Gras for a comment, but no response yet.

Update: Gras will be in the kitchen through the weekend.
