It’s about that time again for the weekly Farm to Market reports. Dallas-area markets are opening for spring, and we couldn’t be more excited. While not every farmers market is open yet, there are plenty to choose from to get your weekly dosage of fruits, vegetables, and local goods.
Also, you might want to mark your calendar. A new farmers market, Little D Farmers Market, is making its way to Dallas on Sunday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be located in the parking lot of Four Corners Brewery, 423 N. Singleton Boulevard. It will be open the first, second, and third Sundays of the month. Little D Farmers Market was created with the hope of motivating neighborhoods west of the Trinity River to buy local, healthy food.
Coppell Farmers Market: Make your way to the Coppell Farmers Market for the last weekend to stock up on goods from winter market vendors. These products include Chef Milton’s chili-honey roasted nuts and flavored Atlantic sea salts, Ipanema Brazilian cheese bread, EMA Baking Co.’s biscotti and lavosh bread, Wholesome Habit’s kale chips, and Gold Rush mustard. Expect lots of greens this weekend at the market along with pastured, grass-raised and finished beef and lamb, pastured pork, free-range chicken and eggs, goat and cow artisan cheeses, and north Texas pecans. There will also be plenty of artisan bakeries this weekend.
Starting Saturday, March 29, the Coppell Farmers Market will be located around the corner from its old location at 768 W. Main St.

Four Seasons Market (Fairview): Ringing in the grand re-opening weekend at the Four Seasons Market in Fairview are amazing vendors. Gilbert-Pruett Family Farms, Terra Sienna Grass Fed Beef, Brazos Valley Cheese, Bold BBQ, Lucidos Pasta, Genesis Farm, Florine Bowman pastries, Kurry King, and many more will be there to serve all your local needs.

Four Seasons Market (Richardson): This weekend the Richardson Farmers Market is welcoming a new vendor, Boom Juice!, to its family. Boom Juice! uses organic ingredients with nutrient-dense foods to create a juice to promote healthy living. It is a one-stop shop for on-the-go healthy eating. This farmers market will also be welcoming back the Gilbert-Pruett Family Farm, and not to mention the 32 other vendors offering fresh pasta, local honey, produce, pastries, meats and many more products.

White Rock Local Market: Kick off the weekend with Simon and Garfunkel live music by Holt and Stockslager from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday, March 22. White Rock Local Market welcomes and supports artisans, farmers, and ranchers all located within 150 miles of the market.

Grand Prairie Farmers Market: Join the Grand Prairie Farmers Market on their opening day for the Get Fit Grand Prairie 5K run/Walk and the “Chase the Chiefs” 1-mile fun run on Saturday, March 29. The proceeds for this event will go toward youth fitness programs in Grand Prairie. Register online.
