The same man who founded Chili’s is the same guy behind Ten 50 BBQ in Richardson. This central Texas barbecue restaurants plans to open in the summer at 1050 N. Central Expressway. Daniel Vaughn has more details on the construction and progress. (Googling ‘Ten 50 BBQ’ just gives you a bunch of best barbecue lists.)

The Love Shack is hiring. I’m sure Tim Love’s burger stand is looking for someone who loves milkshakes, and loves serving them. Shouldn’t be too hard to find.

L.A.’s ‘Dumb Starbucks’ coffee shop has been shut down, despite rave customer reviews. According to Eater, Comedy Central’s Nathan Fielder decided to create a whole parody shop, just to piss Starbucks off. Starbucks might sue, which is dumb.

A five-year-old girl dies from drinking too much grape soda. This Atlantic article doesn’t technically count as restaurant news, but it’s disturbing and haunting. How could a parent force their kid to drink soda as punishment? It’s just awful.
