Pie: the destroyer of small waists and tiny figures. But shoot me if I ever have to give up one of the sweetest desserts on this planet. Today is about giving thanks to pie, the creators of pie, and the eaters of pie. We’ve rounded up a few places in town that are serving free slices. (Yes, you heard that right.) Some of them are offering savory kinds, too. I don’t know about you, but I’m gonna celebrate the heck out of this pretend-holiday.
Today, Norma’s Cafe is giving all guests a free slice of its Mile-High Cream Pie in honor of National Pie Day. This is really happening at all three locations. Get a slice of Norma’s new Reese’s Chocolate PB Mile-High Cream pie until supplies last. No purchase is necessary.
I spoke to a young pie-making lady last week over the phone, and this is what she said about Emporium Pies’ special day. “We are doing savory pies, beef pot pie, chicken pot pie, and possibly some quiche.” There might be balloons out, too. Chicken pot pie for lunch sounds pretty amazing right now.
With every entree purchase, this chic little bowling alley will be giving away a slice of pie.
Same as Bowl & Barrel. If you buy an entree, you get a free slice of pie. Nice.
