Dallas Cowboys, Legends Hospitality And Chef Yutaka Yamato Create100-Yard Sushi Roll

I had to reread the subject line of this press release a couple of times. Chef Yutaka Yamato of Yutaka Sushi Bistro? Seriously? One of the best sushi chefs in Dallas building a 100-yard sushi roll at AT&T Stadium on Wednesday November 20? I read on.

It turns out Yamato is the lead sushi chef for concessions, Legends Hospitality at AT&T Stadium. Yamato will quarterback the the Legends Hospitality culinary team augmented with some draft choices from the North Texas Food Bank and 200 volunteers to “highlight a call to action for everyone to be hunger relief advocates and donate to the North Texas Food Bank to help those in need in our community.” Legends Hospitality will be donating to North Texas Food Bank $1 for every AT&T Stadium tour ticket sale on November 20.  If you’d like to volunteer, you’ll find the details below. Here is the recipe for the sushi roll:

100 Contiguous Yards of nori (seaweed wrap)

150 lbs of sushi rice

200 lbs of smoked Wagyu (American Kobe) beef brisket, smoked Legends Bent Buckle-style

80 lbs of asparagus

5 pounds of serrano peppers

Cowboy Roll sauce made with fresh ginger, soy sauce, and Legends’ signature Bent Buckle brand seasonings

400 Bamboo Mats

 This is How We Roll in Texas – Big, Delicious and with Great Community Spirit

Led by Legends/AT&T Stadium Head Sushi Concessions Chef Yutaka Yamato, the Legends Hospitality Culinary Team, North Texas Food Bank and 200 volunteers will roll a 100-Yard Cowboy Sushi Roll featuring:

 

  • 100 Contiguous Yards of nori (seaweed wrap)
  • 150 lbs of sushi rice
  • 200 lbs of smoked Wagyu (American Kobe) beef brisket, smoked Legends Bent Buckle-style
  • 80 lbs of asparagus

The event will help highlight a call to action for everyone to be hunger relief advocates and donate to the North Texas Food Bank to help those in need in our community.

Along with being a part of a fun, great group culinary event, all volunteers will get to participate in an exciting social media event to highlight the North Texas Food Bank’s new mobile site designed to make it easier for everyone to be hunger relief advocates and donors.

Following the 100-Yard Roll, volunteers will enjoy delicious healthful sushi prepared at the event with the leadership of the Legends Culinary Team.

 Legends Hospitality will be donating to North Texas Food Bank $1 for every AT&T Stadium tour ticket sale on November 20.  The North Texas Food Bank is able to provide 3 meals for every $1 raised.

 Legends will also give everyone attending the Dallas Cowboys and Oakland Raiders Rally Day on November 27 a $5 discount on their tour ticket for bringing a can of food for North Texas Food Bank.  Legends will match 2-for-1 for every can of food donated by fans onNovember 27 to North Texas Food Bank.

HOW TO VOLUNTEER in 100-YARD ROLL

The first 150 volunteers to arrive at AT&T Stadium at 1:30 p.m. on November 20 will get to experience the fun and community spirit of the 100-Yard Cowboy Sushi Roll.  Fans will need to check in at Entry A at AT&T Stadium. Please note that volunteers need to be 12 years of age or older.

Volunteers will also have the opportunity to get a “Roll & Play” self-guided AT&T Stadium Tour ticket at a special discounted rate of $10 on November 20.
