Today is a very biscuity day, given this weather conundrum we’re having.
And biscuits from North Carolina (in my opinion) are superior specimens of flour and baking powder. I still remember the day I watched the Farmer’s Daughter, April McGregor, make perfect biscuits using her forearm as a rolling pin to flatten dough. Definitely a sight to behold.
Garden and Gun has this eight-ingredient recipe for North Carolina-style, brown sugar bacon biscuits by Seth Rubin. I don’t know about you, but now I know what I’m doing this weekend. I’m making these biscuits.
