For  Mexican food fans, Genaro Silva is a name you need to know.

Starting on Friday, October 18, Genaro’s Mexican Cuisine will bring its elevated Mexican cuisine to 6465 E. Mockingbird Lane, Suite 200. According to the press release, “Silva’s brand of what he calls cool, sophisticated and fun Mix-Mex cuisine is a combination of Central and Coastal Mexican, with European and other Latin influences. His menu will include his signature use of lighter oils, no lard or shortening, fiery salsa, Aztec Garlic Rice, black beans, organic beef, and sustainable seafood.  Local produce will be implemented when and wherever possible.”

Average lunch prices range from $10-$16 per plate and average dinner prices are $14-$25. But I’ll pay whatever it takes to get this El Cortez saffron linguini with clams, mussels, shrimp, squid, and snapper in tequila cream sauce. I wish I had a photo of it, but this lamb shank will have to do.
