Food Truck News and Schedule for September 16

By George Lewis |

The Truck Yard finally opened this last weekend on lower Greenville across from Trader Joe’s at 5624 Sears St.  The Truck Yard planners are spreading the love, including almost all Dallas food trucks on their schedule.

This week, look for events at The Village Apartments on Tuesday (evening).  On Wednesday, we’ll have another good line-up at Sigel’s/Greenville.

The biggest event is this coming Sunday at Temple Shalom, 6930 Alpha Road (the SouthEast corner of Alpha and Hillcrest).  Admission is $5.  This event is well-organized and went off very well last year.  The 17-truck lineup includes:

Bombay Chopsticks Indo-Chinese   Coolhaus Ice Cream Sandwiches • Cravetopia Bakery • Cup Cakin’ Cupcakes • Easy Slider Burgers   Gandolfo’s Deli • Mr. Snowie Gourmet Snow Cones • Nammi Vietnamese Fusion • Ruthie’s Crepe Truck  Ruthie’s Rolling Cafe • K-Wheelz Kosher • Simply Dosa Bombay Street Food • Taco Party • Texas Rangers Ballpark Express • The Bomb Fried Pies • The Butcher’s Son B-B-Q • Tutta’s Pizza.

Jump for your lineup this week.  Remember to check Facebook and Twitter before venturing out.
