Hey kids, it’s peach season, which means that if you’re not getting a fruit overdose, you should be by now. I called up some farms this morning to see if they’re offering any public pick-your-owns this weekend. You’re in luck. Here are the ones that got back to me:

Windy Creek Vineyards
3295 Union Hill Road, Sanger, TX 76266.
Phone: 940-458-7234, Email: [email protected]
Driving directions: Driving North on Interstate 35 from Denton, take Exit #478, turn right (go east) on FM 455 for approximately 3 miles, turn left (go North) on Union Hill Road for 1.1 miles. We are the last driveway on the left.

Plums have run out, but plenty of peaches left to pick. Open this Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 pm. and Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. It’s always a good idea to call first before you head out there.

3 Vines Vineyards
11885 Fm 2449 West, Ponder, TX 76259.
Phone: 972-998-5207. Email: [email protected].

3 Vines has eggs (not for you to pick) and squash (for you to pick) available this Saturday, June 23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Jump for more picking.

Walker’s Blueberries
2933 Fm 274, Ravenna, TX 75476.
Phone: (903) 583-4739. Email: [email protected].

Mrs. Walker says you can come out to her farm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 7 a.m. until noon to pick blueberries. If you can’t make it on Saturday, just let her know, and she’ll let you pick on a Friday. And you can always pick earlier than 7 a.m.

L’Cajn Farm
266 Old Chisholm Trail, Rhome, TX 76078.
Phone: 817-636-2644

They just picked a bunch of tomatoes, cucumbers, and eggplants yesterday and this morning, so the owners aren’t sure how much is left to pick, but they say there are plenty of tomatoes if you come as early as 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 23. Of course, the produce they’ve already picked is ready to sell if you’re willing to drop by.

Henrietta Creek Orchard
14255 Old Denton Road, Roanoke, TX 76262.
Phone: 817-439-3202. Email: [email protected].
Driving directions: From I-35W exit #66. Turn East on Westport Parkway (Keller Haslet Road on the map. Map has not been updated) after .7 mile. Take a left (North) on Old Denton Rd. After traveling North about 1.2 mile the road curves to the right. We are about .25 mi on the left after the curve. Please use the second entrance. For directions from your location click here. Remember Keller Haslet road is now called Westport Parkway

Open this weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lots of peaches ready for picking. They will not take your credit card, so bring cash. And always call before you head out there.
