Meddlesome Moth Celebrates One-Year Anniversary With Ale Week April 4-10.

It’s going to be epic. A virtual tap takeover. In honor of their first year of craft-beer bliss, the Moth is hosting an entire week devoted entirely to ales and the people who love them.

Festivities will include:

  • A series of exclusive beer dinners
  • Special cask-conditioned ales on tap every day
  • Appearances and talks by craft beer industry leaders
  • Many new special draught releases
  • Two Saturday Ale Fest sessions
  • A Sunday “leftovers” brunch

Monday, April 4

Stone Brewing Company beer dinner with company founder, Greg Koch—Dinner features a pint of Stone Pale Ale, followed by a four-course meal by Chef Chad Kelley, paired with the Stone IPA, Arrogant Bastard, Sublimely Self Righteous, as well as cask-conditioned ales that will be unveiled at the dinner itself. Cost is $85 per person and dinner begins at 6 p.m.

Tuesday, April 5

Ska Brewing Company beer dinner hosted by Bill Graham, co-owner and brewing operations manager of Ska Brewing— A 5 p.m. special tapping of selected brews from Green Flash Brewing Company, including – Hop Head Red, Imperial IPA, Barleywine, Tripel, West Coast IPA, Double Stout. Jim Kenney from Green Flash Brewing will be on hand as well. Cost is $65 and dinner begins at 6 p.m.

Wednesday, April 6
Breckenridge Brewery beer dinner hosted by owner and brewmaster, Todd Usry—Cost is $65 and dinner begins at 5:30 p.m.

Real Ale Brewing Co. Mysterium Verum Series Tap Takeover at 5 p.m.
Featuring Highlander, Kraken, 14th Anniversary Ale, Devil’s Share, Empire, and Sisyphus ’09. A flight of the five barrel-aged beers will be available. It will be the first time that all of these beers will be available on draught at the same time!

Thursday, April 7
Lagunitas Brewing beer dinner hosted by Lauren Young, Sun Belt representative for Lagunitas
Cost is $65 and dinner begins at 5:30 p.m.

Special tapping of cask-conditioned ale from Breckenridge with Todd Usry at 5 p.m.

Friday, April 8
Special beer tasting featuring rare, vintage beers from Avery Brewing Company, hosted by Ted Whitney, National Sales Director at Avery Brewing at 5p.m.
Four year vertical tasting of Avery’s Samael’s Strong Ale, Joe’s Pils firkin, and a case of the Depuceluese

Saturday, April 9
STRONG ALE FESTIVAL featuring two sessions of rare, vintage beer tastings and food pairings from Chef Chad Kelley – the Meddlesome Moth has been cellaring the best beers coming through the state since before opening in anticipation of this unique tasting

  • Tastings are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and each lasts two and a half hours
  • Guests receive ten 2 oz. tasters, two food tickets and a special Meddlesome Moth commemorative tasting glass
  • Brewing representatives will be on hand to shake hands and talk about their beer
  • There will be more than 30 unique drafts tapped for this event
  • Each session costs $65 and tickets are on sale now

Sunday, April 10
Meddlesome Moth “Leftovers Brunch” featuring any beers remaining from the week, available in full-sized pours, served alongside the always delicious Meddlesome Moth standard brunch menu

Festival-goers can take advantage of a special group rate at the nearby Hilton Anatole located at 2201 Stemmons Freeway. The rate is $129 per room, which is a 30 percent discount from normal rates.
