Val’s Food with a Twist, a private catering bakery whose treats are sold at Dallas eateries such as Oddfellows, Union Bear, and The Pearl Cup, is teaming up with Lilly Neubauer, the blogger behind PancakesandBeetJuice.com, to create a limited edition, gluten-free Summer Citrus Carrot Cake that gives back to area kiddos. For each cake sold, Val’s Food with a Twist is donating $10 to Community Partners of Dallas to bring new school supplies to abused children in Dallas.

The Summer Citrus Carrot Cake sells for $35.00 plus tax and can be ordered by visiting foodwithatwist.com and clicking on the “Contact Us” page. Payment is by cash or check to Val’s Food with a Twist. When placing orders, don’t forget to include the desired pick up location. Cakes ordered by Thursday will be ready for weekend pick up through July.

Here’s the scoop on pick up locations:

Happy eating (and giving).
