Each Friday we’ll share our top five favorites from around the interwebs here on the blog for your reading pleasure.

For our first installment, we share our love for the handbag contents of one of our favorite moms, exciting museum news, an inspired DIY, a super cute baby gender reveal, and a drink we can’t wait to whip up for the weekend.

Herewith this week’s picks. Enjoy!

First up, the DIY, specifically Brooke of Pure and Noble’s do-it-yourself take on these genius magnets.

So fun and clever and easy — a perfect weekend craft project.

Next up, Raya takes a peek into on of our favorite moms, DJ Lucy Wrubel’s bag. And, no surprise, the contents are as cool as she is. (P.S. You’ll want to check out the living room dance party mix that Lucy put together for D Moms stat.)

Then there’s the extremely exciting announcement that the (stunning) Perot Museum of Nature and Science will open its doors on December 1, a full month earlier than originally planned. D Magazine intern Caitlin Adams give the full scoop here.

This ginger lime soda from The Meaning of Pie also makes the cut. We’ll serve it as is for the kiddos and spike with a little gin for ourselves…

And last but not least, we’re awfully smitten with the super cute family photo/gender reveal that Dallas mom and author of Mommy Chic conjured up. We’re also digging her strapless polka dot frock. Mommy chic indeed.
