The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater has impressed audiences since its first legendary performance 55 years ago. The multiracial dance company was founded and led by Texas-born choreographer, dancer, and arts-in-education advocate Alvin Ailey, who is recognized for enriching and publicizing modern dance to the world. Acknowledged as an “American cultural ambassador to the world” in 2008 by a U.S. Congressional resolution, the famed dance company has performed in 48 states, 71 countries, and six continents.
This talented company will grace the stage after a 30-year absence from Dallas, and you can see the show on us.
