The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater has impressed audiences since its first legendary performance 55 years ago. The multiracial dance company was founded and led by Texas-born choreographer, dancer, and arts-in-education advocate Alvin Ailey, who is recognized for enriching and publicizing modern dance to the world.  Acknowledged as an “American cultural ambassador to the world” in 2008 by a U.S. Congressional resolution, the famed dance company has performed in 48 states, 71 countries, and six continents.

This talented company will grace the stage after a 30-year absence from Dallas, and you can see the show on us. Just tell us how many ballets Alvin Ailey created over his lifetime in the form below and you’ll score four tickets to The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s 2 p.m. show on Saturday, May 4 at the Winspear Opera House. Our fortunate winner will be crowned by 3 p.m. Good luck!
