Formed in the early ’90s, the Grammy-nominated Afro-Cuban All Stars are best known for their 1997 international success, A Toda Cuba Le Gusta. The album featured traditional Cuban music performed by nearly 60 artists, including some of Cuba’s greatest, such as Rubén González, Ibrahim Ferrer and Orlando “Cachaito” Lopez. Juan De Marcos, who fronts The Afro-Cuban All Stars as band leader, is known for orchestrating the hugely successful and Grammy-winning album, Buena Vista Social Club.
Now the band is on a U.S. Tour and will be performing in Dallas on March 5 at the Winspear Opera House. This sizzling show is sure to get you moving, and to top it off, it’s BYOB.
