Believe it or not, it’s been 20 long years since The Joffrey Ballet last graced a stage in Dallas. We’re not sure what kept them away for so long, but it’s about time they showcased their extraordinary abilities to our eager eyes again. Based in Chicago, The Joffrey Ballet is among the top dance companies in the nation and has an infamous reputation of “firsts.” They’re supposedly the first dance company to perform at The White House at the request of Jackie O, first to appear on television, and the first dance company to grace the cover of Time magazine.

This breathtaking show commemorates the 100th anniversary of the iconic Le Sacre du Printemps (Rite of Spring) with original and uniquely introspective choreography. We were fortunate enough to score some tickets to the opening night of the ballet (Friday, January 18th) at Winspear Opear House for one lucky winner. Just fill out the form below with the correct answer to this question and we might pick you: which European country is the word “ballet” derived from?
