The Week/end That *Was*

Did you miss me while I was on vacation? (Please humor me and say yes.) Well, I’m back now (with a great tan) and some fresh ideas just for you! While away, I was thinking about how nice it was to get out of the same old routine: wake up, go to work, come home, sleep … rinse, lather, repeat. It gets old, doesn’t it? Well, instead of topping off this monotonous routine by hitting up the same bars every weekend, throw in a little curveball and try something new. My suggestions are below. Please hold your applause until the end of this newsletter. Thank you.

Some routines are good. For instance, you should keep in the habit of checking out last week/end’s photo galleries.

Where to *be* this week/end

Friday

8/15

300 a.k.a. The King of All Bowling Alleys

I was terrified the first time I walked into 300 and realized I forgot my socks. My horror subsided when the teen at shoe rental greeted me with a fresh, new pair, along with squeaky clean (fungus-free) bowling shoes. The rest of my experience was equally delightful:

Yucatan Beach Club

Although I’m not the best a terrible volleyball player, I still manage to have a good time here. Maybe it has something to do with the great drink specials, or, I don’t know, sweaty men diving in the sand.

Saturday

8/16

Dave Matthews Band:

Maybe you’re a DMB fan, maybe not. Either way, I guarantee you’ll have a great time at this concert and that songs like “Satellite” and “Crash Into Me” will flood your mind with fond memories

Sunday

8/17

Top Golf

First off, no, you do not have to be a good golfer to enjoy yourself at Top Golf. That’s what the alcohol is for. Kidding. Whatever your handicap, there's a game for anyone.
