The Week/end That *Was*

Did you decide take a break from margaritas after having one too many at the Byron Nelson Pavilion last weekend? I did too. But then I remembered that Monday is Cinco de Mayo! I mean, how can one properly celebrate Mexican heritage without the sweet nectar that is the margarita? Or, at the very least, an ice-cold, lime-friendly beer? Exactly. So, I have put together a list of nearby fiestas. But before that, be sure to check out last week/end’s photo galleries – including other people (besides me) who enjoyed margaritas at the Pavilion.

Where to *be* this week/end

Friday

5/2

Iron Cactus

Kick off your Cinco de Mayo weekend at “the biggest fiesta in downtown Dallas.”

Monday

5/5

Mattitos

It’s probably not a good idea to drink tequila and ride a mechanical bull. But, for some insane reason, the opportunity seems too good to pass up.

Manny's

I can’t imagine this place being more packed than usual, but I’m sure Monday’s all-day happy hour will bring in an even larger crowd.

La Condesa

Tip: Live music and drink specials are usually signs of a good party.

Trece

The five-night fiesta actually starts tonight (05/01), with a kickoff party featuring Hunter Sullivan and his band. But, if you’re one of the first 100 guests to arrive on the 5th, you’ll get … (you better sit down for this)
